As an Engineering Intern in the ID1 – High Volume Manufacturing Engineering group at Micron Technology, you'll join our team in supporting our 300mm semiconductor processes and equipment used at a state-of-the-art fabrication facility. Typical internships will be for the summer months, and will be located in Boise, Idaho or Manassas, Virginia. We will assign you a project that is intended to last the duration of your 3-month internship and will occupy most of your time. Training in our safety procedures and for the operations required for your assignment are vital to ensure a safe working experience. The internship will involve working in the clean room fabrication environment during a portion of the internship. We expect a verbal presentation on your project results, near the end of your internship.
In addition, you may assist in product defect investigations and maintenance of tools and processes for R & D experiments. Working with fab tool automation systems and software while pursuing routine automation errors if they arise may be involved. There could be a need react to SPC data and investigate /correct causes for SPC notifications. Creating Quality Deviation Reports or Engineering Change Notices may also be needed. We also anticipate for our intern to take the initiative to move your assigned project forward to completion.

Junior Level Status in Chemical Engineering, Mech Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related Engineering Field.
Must be a current student, must not graduate before September 2025.
