Manage a product line through all stages of the development process.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • In cooperation with designers and technicians, develop requisitions for new products and colorways, which comply with approved design-specifications and target cost.
  • Manage the development status reports and maintain records to track projects.
  • Communicate with development partners on the day to day R&D issues.
  • Liaison between design, technicians, development partners and costing to help achieve target cost.
  • Work with colorists to control, but not to limit, the number of colorways.
  • Keep management informed of issues on products under development.
  • Review and verify confirmation samples; manage the confirmation process by coordinating design and technical input and to hand over correct samples for mass production on a timely basis.
  • Order national account and sales samples.
  • Maintain and keep track of sales sample status.
  • Provide go-by information for N/A & S/S.
  • Coordinate sample requirements for shows, customer and pre-line meetings with LA technicians and Asian developers.
  • Provide product information for line sheets and duty calculations.
  • Assign style numbers and maintain divisional style masters.
  • Manage running changes and communicate these changes to Asia and the sales department.
  • Review first production cases to ensure production matches confirmation samples.

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

  • Help resolve daily issues that come up within the department.
  • Liaison between the development team and marketing for marketing sample needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.

  • Able to work extra hours as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE-

  • One to three years of footwear experience, preferably in product and administration related positions.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Illustrator.

The pay range for this position is $26-$29/hr.
