Associate Manager – NPD Operations

Position Summary

The Associate Manager Team Leader will lead a portion of the R&D Engineering Services team to provide engineering and Technical Support services to new product development teams in the Stryker Cork Innovation Centre.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Support technology research and new product development projects through the identification, development and provision of technologies and services in the following key areas:

  • Rapid prototyping capabilities, systems and techniques to continuously  reduce new product development lead-times.

          

  • CAD and mathematical modeling systems and techniques to accurately model product surface geometry and analyze mechanical and structural behavior

  •   Quantitative and qualitative test and measurement systems to accurately and quickly evaluate and verify product performance

                         

  • May review engineering test reports and approves as Lead Technician. Will ensure sound application of engineering principles is used and design intent is being followed/achieved during Design Verification testing.

  • Development and implementation of the necessary systems, procedures and protocols ensuring that they meet and adhere to FD QSR and ISO 13481 design control requirements

  • Assist in the establishment of individual and team goals and ensure delivery of exceptional performance to internal and external customers.

  • Works with PM’s to ensure accuracy in planning and excellence in delivery of projects.

  • Ensure Housekeeping is kept to a high standard.

  • Responsible for the leadership, supervision, mentoring, and development of  direct reports in R&D Engineering Services

  • Recruit, coach train and develop exceptional engineering talent.

  • Environmental Health & Safety of Engineering Services Team Lead

Qualifications Knowledge Skills

  • Wide knowledge of machining processes, rapid prototyping techniques and/or Test systems, computer aided design and manufacturing systems.

  • 4+ years experience in Research and Development and/or New Product introduction

  • Supervisory experience preferred

  • Must have ability to manage multiple project requests simultaneously.
