 Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for talented Manufacturing Engineers to join the Bombers Manufacturing Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Senior and Lead Manufacturing Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in analyzing product development, complex producibility studies and production/tooling philosophies.

  • Refines, validates, coordinates and implements conceptual designs and manages the program architecture for build.

  • Develops manufacturing plans and oversees plan optimization.

  • Conducts complex producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

  • Resolves complex technical problems.

  • Serves as a project manager to ensure that contract requirements, specifications, design criteria and schedule performance are integrated and maintained.

  • Leads advanced design solutions and supports research of new product or business opportunities.

  • Deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods.

  • Documents and communicates producibility best practices.

  • Provides guidance to others through structured mentoring.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5+ years of related engineering experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • B.S. or higher in Aerospace, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering

  • Experience supporting defense, commercial, and government aerospace customers

  • Experience with 3D model based instruction

  • Experience with any of the following: IVT, CATIA, MES, Gold, Aurora, DELMIA, 3D Printed Parts

  • Experience with Risk Management

  • Experience with Project Management

  • Experience with Program Integration

Typical Education/Experience: 

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Lead (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Senior - Level 4): $102,000 - $138,000. Summary pay range (Lead - Level 5): $124,100 - $167,900
