The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of payroll processing. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Processing payroll 

  • Providing guidance, leadership, and training to team on policies, regulations, and procedures 

  • Administer new acquisition payroll set up, in addition to setting up time off policies to ensure time off is accruing correctly 

  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll submission 

  • Process employee changes, including W-4, direct deposit, garnishments, worker’s comp audits, and all payroll related items 

  • Process biweekly and off-cycle payroll requests as necessary including terminations based on state law requirements 

  • Monitor and audit State and Federal minimum wage requirements  

  • Assist team members with resolving complex error resolution  

  • Partner with HR to ensure deductions for benefits are being accurately recorded and processed 

Payroll Supervisor will possess the following skills: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role in payroll 

  • Minimum of 3 years of Workday payroll processing 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with state and federal payroll compliance 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with ADP smart compliance 

  • Payroll processing experience of 3000 + employees 

  • Detail oriented with a high aptitude for numerical accuracy 

  • Excel experience with VLOOKUP's and pivot tables. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

  • Customer focused mind set  

  • Strong organizational and time management skills 

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills 

  • Exceptional supervisory and leadership skills  

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment 

 

Preferred qualifications include: 

  • CPP certified 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field 

  • Canada payroll experience
