Undergrad Intern - Operational Design Analytics

This could be your everyday

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. During this program, you will be working with a team of clinical development data experts who develop custom analytics solutions, evaluate predictive analytics scenarios and deliver meaningful centralized data insights for Amgen’s Clinical Development Portfolio. The Operational Design Analytics (ODA) Team is made up of people from varied backgrounds and professional experiences. As a summer intern in the ODA team, we look forward to you bringing your unique perspective and voice to our group and help us see things from a fresh view.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Data curation and wrangling
  • Data quality assessments and solutioning
  • Data pipeline enhancements and efficiencies
  • Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data infrastructure aligns with business needs
  • Supporting predictive analytics solutions to the development portfolio
  • Presenting findings and deliverables related to project work

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergrad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
  • Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing
  • Enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university
  • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
  • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship OR co-op

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree concentration(s) in Data Sciences, Data Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, or anything that touches on these aspects
  • Comfortable working entirely remote
  • Self-starter who needs little direction, yet knows when to ask for guidance
  • Someone who likes to work hard and have fun doing it

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $24.70 - $28.30 per hour.
