Software Engineer
Primary Role:
The Software Engineer, API Central will support the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our API Gateway platform. This role will be a key contributor to API strategy, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of APIs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing, implementing, and managing the Apigee X platform, including proxies, policies, and environments.
- Monitor platform performance, help identify bottlenecks, and support optimization efforts to maintain availability, scalability, and security of the Apigee X platform.
- Support regular platform maintenance activities, including upgrades and patching, following established processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API issues and platform problems, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as developers, architects, and product managers to deliver API and platform improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in software development, or related fields.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Go, or similar.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Foundational understanding of DevOps concepts (CI/CD, monitoring, version control, incident response basics).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
