Job Description

Fabletics is looking for a Manager of Engineering to lead and mentor the engineers that build our Warehouse Management System (Evolve) that runs on our FashionOS platform 

 

This position will report to the VP, Architecture and AI Technologies. 

 

What you will do: 

  • Build, lead, and mentor a world-class engineering team that delivers customer value through rapid iterations 

  • Provide hands-on support to projects and other initiatives as necessary 

  • Provide thought leadership and establish a technical strategy and roadmap for the team and its products 

  • Set clear, measurable quality goals for the organization in a data-driven way 

  • Foster a culture of continuous engineering and process improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics 

  • Own the technical design, development and operational effectiveness of innovative applications that meet current and future business needs in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner 

  • Ensure adherence to software development lifecycle and architecture best practices 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional (product management, architecture, QA, IT Ops, devOps) teams to define strategies, scope of products and services throughout the product lifecycle 

  • Contribute to a culture of modern software development methodologies and architectural excellence 

 

What you can bring: 

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience including e-commerce, enterprise systems, and warehouse management platforms 

  • 3+ years management experience with hands-on architecture experience 

  • 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience within a large scale, highly available, cloud-based environment (AWS preferred) 

  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience managing 5+ person local/remote onshore/offshore engineering team 

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality solutions in a high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly 

  • Deep experience with the Agile/Scrum SDLC processes through the entire SDLC: software design, coding, unit test, integration test, build and release 

  • Experience designing and building various APIs (REST, JSON-RPC, GRPC, GraphQL, etc.) 

  • Experience with software languages such as Node, C#, GoLang  

  • Experience with SQL databases including SQL Server and stored procedures 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Eager and adaptable to change. Works with little guidance and direction. Able to navigate complex systems with ease. 

  • Must be technically credible to lead teams of architects, software engineers, and dev ops to make the right design decisions and technology choices

The annual base salary range for this position is from $127,500-$170,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Fabletics expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
