Engineering and Program Management: This role is part of Enterprise Program Management (EPM) where we provide technical standards, tools, processes, training and subject matter expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EPM allows all Blue Origin business units to benefit from commonly used capabilities, hardware, and software and assists business units in identifying, selecting, and training engineers from both inside and outside the organization.
As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will build, integrate, and operate the hardware environment we use for verifying the performance of avionics for various spaceflight systems. This job will expose you to many different aspects of spaceflight vehicles! You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system development and operations.
Special Mentions
Shifts available: flexible day shift (flexible start time between 5am-9am), afternoon shift (2pm-10pm)
Interviews will include a technical assessment requiring a computer
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
assembling HIL hardware
building wire harness/cable assemblies
troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies
integrating avionics and ground support hardware into the HIL
supporting system testing
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of experience with aerospace avionics wire harnesses
Good understanding of basic electronics
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and written assembly procedures
Proficient in the use of basic electronic lab test equipment, such as power supplies and handheld multimeters
Basic digital literacy and familiarity with Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, etc)
Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention-to-detail, and desire for continuous improvement
Ability to thrive as a member of a collaborative team
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
2 year Associates degree in electrical or electronic engineering technology
Current or expired harness assembly, crimping and soldering certifications (IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A 610 and J-STD-001)
Experience with 5S practices, such as shadow boarding
Compensation Range for:
WA applicants is $29.03-$40.65Other site ranges may differ
