We are currently looking for a Temporary Part-Time Towage Operations Coordinator to support our Operations team in Bremerhaven.
The Role
In this role, you will play a key part in supporting safe and efficient ship movements in the Port of Bremerhaven.
As a key player of a small team, you will be an essential contributor to supporting safe and efficient vessel movements and the maritime logistics chain in Bremerhaven.
There is potential to make the position permanent and/or full-time, depending on business needs and performance.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to join a dynamic company and work in a role where decisions have a real and immediate impact for our people, customers and the day-to-day operations.
It is well suited for the applicant who seeking a meaningful part-time income alongside other commitments.
The operation is running 24/7 and the work schedule if managed shift system. Flexibility to work nights and during the week is required.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate deployment of tugs and mooring crews to assist vessels, taking into account ship schedules, rest hour requirements and other logistics.
Maintain and update the internal planning system based on shipping line schedules and terminal plans
Coordinate closely with ship agents and port operators regarding vessel arrival and departure times
Schedule and coordinate external service providers for services related to our tugs as needed
Process administrative tasks, updating data and create status reports
Location
The position is based in our office in Bremerhaven.
