Job Description: Lead Software Engineer (Spring Boot | Microservices | AWS/GCP | REST API| Web services)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to design and build scalable, cloud-native platforms using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS/GCP. In this role, you will lead engineering initiatives, mentor team members, drive architectural decisions, and deliver high‑quality, resilient services. Exposure to agentic AI frameworks will be a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of scalable Spring Boot microservices.
• Architect, modernize, and refactor monolithic applications into modular or microservices-based components.
• Design, implement, and optimize REST APIs and SOAP/Web Services.
• Deploy cloud-native applications on AWS or GCP.
• Build persistence layers using Hibernate/JPA, integrating with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Implement messaging and event-driven integrations using Pub/Sub, Kafka, or similar platforms.
• Ensure application reliability, observability, and performance across distributed systems.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, best practices, and mentoring.
• Collaborate closely with product, architects, DevOps, and cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Contribute to PoCs or feature development involving agentic AI, automated reasoning, or AI-assisted workflows (Nice to have)

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise with:
  • Java (11/17+)
  • Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JPA/Hibernate
  • Microservices architecture & distributed system patterns
  • REST API design & implementation
• Proven experience deploying applications on AWS and/or GCP.
• Solid foundation in Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc.).
• Strong understanding of system performance, security, and design patterns.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, pub/sub).
• Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to agentic AI frameworks, autonomous agents, RAG workflows, or LLM‑integrated systems.
