Primary Purpose of the Position

The Sr. ETF Analyst supports Trading and Investment strategy of T. Rowe Price’s Exchange Traded Funds by optimizing trade implementation and providing subject matter expertise across the firm. Residing within Investment and Trading Solutions, the individual will partner closely with Portfolio Investment Analysts, Traders, ETF Capital Markets, and Portfolio Managers to analyze the risk and alpha generated via different trading patterns, ultimately helping determine how best to implement investment ideas across diverse market environments and under varying constraints. Additionally, the Sr. Analyst continues to evolve best practices, disseminating to Front Office partners and fielding questions related to the ETFs.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Efficiently analyze PM trade ideas for optimal implementation method leveraging the unique capabilities of ETFs.
  • Develop framework for analysis, reviewing past successes and misses to continuously improve support.
  • Act as point of contact for ETF implementation inquiries.
  • Monitor success of program and evolve alongside TRP ETF franchise.
  • Synthesize transaction cost data and feedback from Traders, ETF Capital Markets Specialists, Portfolio Investment Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and Trading Analytics Associates to refine implementation strategies.
  • Partner with previously mentioned teams to deliver success for our clients.

Qualifications

Required

  • Ability and desire to develop expertise in ETF trade implementation.
  • Ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced environment where decisions have material impact on client outcomes.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies (including programming).
  • Experience with data analysis, deriving insights from large quantities of data, and communicating insights eloquently.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented team player.

Preferred

  • Prior experience with multi-factor risk models, R, linear algebra, Investment management or Trading.
  • Progress towards CFA, MBA, MSFin.
  • Prior Front Office experience, ideally related to ETFs.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for remote work up to one day a week.
