Job Summary

The CIO is responsible for leading the organization’s Information Technology function. The role designs a strategic vision of how technology will transform the business, educates peers and other business leaders on data monetization and value-added services as the next engines of growth, and crafts a compelling enterprise narrative on the changes required for success in digitization, while engaging across internal and external stakeholders to drive operational excellence.

The Lead for Business Integration is responsible for building a seamless capability delivery approach to bring infrastructure and services to the entire corporation. Driving service delivery through effective deployment of Service Level Agreements and performance metrics across the entire suite of IT, Facilities and Security functions to deliver differentiating value to our internal and external customers at affordable costs.

This is a full-time position based in Chantilly, VA or El Segundo, CA.

What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Direction Setting

  • Develops and executes an integration strategy that provides access to data from diverse sources and extends the business to partner and customer ecosystems.
  • Keeps abreast of emerging digital and business trends and collaborates with other business leaders to embed digital opportunities in business strategy.
  • Develops and executes an IT strategy that takes advantage of emerging technologies to contribute to business strategy.
  • Educates C-level peers and the business at large about the enterprise changes that underpin success in digitization.
  • Works with stakeholders to continually optimize IT governance and decision-making processes as the business context and technology landscape changes.
  • Works with external stakeholders to represent corporate interests and engages customers in developing approaches for enabling increased service delivery across all levels of security.
  • Develops and executes a strategy for integration of artificial intelligence capabilities to enable more effective and efficient business outcomes.

Service and Product Delivery

  • Designs and executes the organization-wide big data roadmap and engagement model for data governance, data engineering, and data science.
  • Provides the internal and external connections needed to implement enterprise-wide changes required for success in digitization.
  • Uses change management expertise and an end-to-end understanding of the digital value chain to coach business leaders on driving enterprise change.
  • Owns the process of defining and managing one or more of the enterprise changes that underpin successful digitization as the opportunity arises.
  • Leads the implementation of industry standards and development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps, to increase responsiveness and growth.
  • Provide oversight of projects, troubleshoot issues, stay updated on industry. trends and advocate for innovative technologies to drive operational excellence.
  • Proactively engages on a broad range of issues facing the corporation and drives solutions to challenges.

Functional Management

  • Directs and oversees the management of the IT budget process, costs, and resources for the IT organization.
  • Designs and implements an IT–business engagement model to identify and shape demand and align IT’s offerings with business needs.
  • Engages across the corporation to gain buy-in for information and data system modernization projects and engages effectively to ensure project success with all stakeholders.
  • Oversees sourcing decisions and scalable vendor management processes.

Staff and Leadership Development

  • Oversees a strategic workforce plan’s development and implementation to maximize the current and future workforce’s effectiveness in light of strategic business priorities.
  • Builds the next generation of leaders and oversees training programs to develop the digital skills of IT and business employees.
  • Oversees the creation of a compelling employment value proposition to attract and retain critical talent.
  • Contributes to company-level goals for talent development, diversity, and inclusion.

Service and Product Delivery

  • Provides oversight and administrative direction in project management activities such as planning, management, reporting, and risk identification for technology projects.
  • Identifies outsourcing needs and oversees relationships and contracts with outsourcing organizations and external service providers.

Functional Management

  • Oversees the development of appropriate governance frameworks and mechanisms for the effective use of information and technology to create value and manage risk.
  • Oversees measurement and reporting of IT systems’ reliability, performance, security, and business value.
