The PLC Programmer and Metasys Application Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining PLC systems and Metasys BMS supervisor level to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role requires a strong technical background in automation and control systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize existing processes.
What You Will Do
- Develop, test, and implement PLC programs for various industrial or BMS applications.
- Configure and maintain Metasys Building Management Systems (BMS): configure network controllers (SNE) and develop BMS graphics, trend, and alarming (ADX)
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designer to define project requirements and objectives.
- Conduct system analysis and troubleshooting to resolve operational issues.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of PLC programs and Metasys configurations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to PLC programming and building management systems.
- Assist in the integration of new systems and technologies into existing infrastructures.
- Participate in on-site commissioning and system startup activities.
- Configure and troubleshoot managed routers, switches (future plan)
What We Look For
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in PLC programming and control systems: Siemens HMI and Scada, Siemens S7. Good to have knowledge in: Beckhoff PLC programming, WAGO PLC programming
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, BACnet, M-bus, KNX).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good to have knowledge in IT network (subnets, routes, PPP connections, firewalls, etc)
