The Role & What You Will Be Doing

Europe Regional Risk Assessment and Monitoring

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Director and European Lead for Risk Assessment and Monitoring in ensuring that our company complies with regulatory standards and internal policies.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Risk Assessment:

  • Assist in developing and implementing risk assessment frameworks and methodologies.
  • Coordinate among the Compliance Officers and Liaisons in the local countries to conduct comprehensive risk assessments of the local affiliates in Europe to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Support in the evaluation of the effectiveness of existing risk controls and recommend enhancements.
  • Draft detailed, comprehensive regional risk assessment reports for senior management.

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Assist in the development and execution of compliance monitoring plans.
  • Coordinate among the Compliance Officers and Liaisons in the local countries to conduct and report on periodic data and live monitoring of various interactions with the Healthcare community, leveraging the support of the Global Compliance Risk Assessment and Monitoring COE.
  • Review internal audit reports and gather feedback from the Investigations COE to identify areas of particular focus in monitoring to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Support the implementation of corrective action plans to address compliance gaps and track progress.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and industry standards and assess their impact on the Company's compliance programs.

Europe Regional Compliance Training

Support the European Lead for Compliance Policies, Training and Communications (PTC) in the development, implementation, continuous improvement, and administration of the Compliance training program efficiently in Europe, leveraging the resources provided by the Global Compliance PTC Center of Excellence.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development of new and enhanced compliance training concepts, methodologies, and content.
  • Identify compliance training needs and implement training strategies and processes defined by the European Lead for Compliance PTC, to ensure an excellent learning experience.
  • Provide sustainable training and continuous improvement support:  post-training rollout aftercare – set up of Q&As sessions and support forums. 
  • Revise and update existing training content.
  • Draft periodic reports and metrics regarding the Compliance training activities conducted in the local countries. 
  • Maintain a record of Compliance training program activities.
  • Stay apprised of legal and regulatory changes, trade association codes, and industry best practices regarding compliance to continuously update and enhance training content.

Spain - Risk Assessment, Monitoring, and Training

In support of the Senior Manager Compliance Spain, conduct periodic risk assessments, as well as data and live monitoring and draft reports regarding the same.  In addition, in alignment with the Senior Manager Compliance Spain training strategy, develop training content, conduct periodic training, and provide post-training aftercare (Q&A sessions and support forums) for the local affiliates in Spain.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and at least 4 years’ experience in pharmaceutical compliance is required.  Governance, Legal, Finance or Audit function experience will also be considered.  A Graduate Degree in a related field (business management, technology, and operations services) is a plus. However, a combination of experience and education will be taken into consideration.
  • Experience in compliance concerning social media and digital activities in the Pharma sector is a plus.
  • Be proactive in bringing forth ideas to improve internal processes and standardization.
  • A native or bilingual English speaker.
  • A native or bilingual Spanish speaker.
  • Master or certification in Compliance will be a plus.
  • Great command of MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Must possess following skills: ethics, accuracy, planning and organization, results oriented.
  • Great relationship and communication capabilities.
  • Availability for occasional travel as needed.
