Veterinary Assistant or RVT 27+ hours per week, weekends & holidays. In search of someone wanting to work with animals and people, who wants to provide exceptional customer service and make a positive difference every day. Fast-paced 7-day-a-week Veterinary Hospital seeks a friendly, productive, and proactive teammate for a veterinary assistant or RVT position.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties include triaging patients, placing IV catheters, venipuncture, miscellaneous injections, radiology knowledge, and generalized treatments. The basics of CPR will be needed. Basic medical math is a must. Able to review estimates and finances with customers. Good communication skills and strong computer skills are a must. Qualified candidates must enjoy working with people and animals (dogs/cats) and be capable of providing exceptional and compassionate veterinary care. Cross-training with customer service is a must.

Qualifications and Skills

Our veterinary assistants/ RVTs must exhibit sharp attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task. We are looking for a calm, levelheaded individual who does well in a stressful environment. The ability to provide outstanding veterinary care for our patients, flexibility of thought, and commitment to excellence are required. At least 2 years of veterinary experience is ideal, and training will be provided.
