Summary:

The IT Systems Manager leads and supervises the team in the Information Technology organization responsible for hardware and software support for the National Call Center and the corporate telephone network for Drury Hotels Company.  The position is responsible for designing and supporting the SQL Server based interfaces for reservations, inventory, and other guest stay related data, provides technical support for Drury Hotels’ loyalty programs, and maintains the technical aspects of the rates structure.  You provide technical support for druryhotels.com and additional internal applications and will work closely with the Application Development team to implement new functionality.  You will collaborate with the National Call Center management team to stay up-to-date on current needs and maintain a good understanding of the status of current operations. You are responsible for performing research and providing recommendations regarding the implementation of new technologies and systems that have potential to improve company-wide staff efficiencies and effectiveness. Additionally, this position will create and maintain department operational and strategic plans.

General Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

  • Ten or more years of professional (non-academic) technical experience.
  • Five or more years of minimum experience in administering SQL Server.
  • Five or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Three or more years of Microsoft SQL Server tuning or optimization experience.
  • Three or more years of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI experience (preferred).
  • Three or more years of Application Development utilizing Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate with non-technical team members about technical issues in a manner that promotes understanding while still providing useful information.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of a four-year college degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Mathematics.)
