WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for promoting and supporting Scrum and Lean-Agile practices. Scrum Masters do this by helping everyone understand Scrum and Lean-Agile theory, practices, rules, and values. Scrum Masters help those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which aren’t. The Scrum Master helps everyone change these interactions to maximize the value created by the Scrum Team.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

  • Strongly serving and supporting the Product Owner and Development Team in their quest to do everything possible to delight customers
  • Guiding and Coaching the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
  • Guiding and Coaching both the Scrum Team and the Development team on how to get the most out of self organization.
  • Guiding and Coaching both the Scrum Team and the Development team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
  • Guiding and Coaching the Development team on agile software development principles, practices and execution
  • Guiding and Coaching the Development team on software  design patterns.
  • Assessing the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
  • Protecting the team from interruptions and external interferences, keeping the team focused within the context of the project vision and goals
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving.
  • Facilitating  the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the process being followed by the team
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog.
  • Working actively in the Guild of Scrum Masters.

EXPERIENCE

  • +3 years of experience as a Scrum Master with technical background.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, etc.
  • Experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: various Burndown technologies, many Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • Atlasian Tools: JIRA y Confluence. Microsoft Office 365 (Forms, Sharepoint, Teams...), Continuous integration tools (Jenkins...) testing automation (Cucumber, Junit, Concordion,...).
  • High level of English.
