Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director of Fund Development is responsible for leading and managing the fund development program, increasing philanthropic support, and creating a sustainable fundraising strategy. This role involves strategic planning, major gift fundraising, donor cultivation, and collaboration with other stakeholders.

This position requires a highly experienced dynamic Executive Director, a visionary leader with a proven track record in non-profit fund development, and a passion for our mission.

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Non-Profit Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in non-profit fund development.
Skills:
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to develop and execute fundraising strategies.
• Extensive experience in donor cultivation and grant management.

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan that aligns with the hospital’s strategic goals.
  • Lead the fund development coordinator, setting goals and monitoring performance to ensure fundraising targets are met.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to enhance fundraising initiatives.

2. Fundraising and Donor Management:

  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit philanthropic support from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
  • Oversee the management of grant applications and reporting, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with major donors and key community stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns.

3. Communication and Reporting:

  • Effectively communicate the vision and mission of the hospital to potential donors and the broader community.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on fundraising progress to the board of directors and senior management.
  • Ensure transparency and accountability in all fundraising activities.

4. Team Management and Development:

  • Lead and mentor the fund development team.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff.
