Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure and Development, the Infrastructure and Information Security Manager is responsible for managing all technical aspects of Tucasi’s infrastructure estate; including co-lo and AWS (EC2, RDS and Kubernetes).
The Infrastructure and Information Security Manager will also take responsibility for information security management of our customers data assets; working alongside our parent companies compliance teams to implement and monitor security controls and work with the wider business to improve risk management processes.
To be successful in this role, you will be experienced working with open-source technologies e.g. RHEL, Postgres, Puppet e.t.c, in a HA mission critical environment. You will also be experienced in managing co-located data centres, along with cloud (preferable AWS).
This role would suit someone who is looking to remain hands-on technical but would like to gain some management experience with a view to stepping into a hands-off management role in the future.
You will be required to partake in an on-call rota for approximately 1/3rd of each month.
You will be required to spend 10% of your working time undertaking professional development.
Principal responsibilities and tasks
Oversee maintenance and technical operations of Tucasi’s compute environments ensuring availability, integrity and confidentiality of Tucasi’s data assets and services (e.g. monitoring, patching, preventative maintenance e.t.c)
Line management of infrastructure/devops engineers.
Take ownership and improve upon Tucasi’s risk management processes.
Work alongside application developers to ensure application operability and reliability are built into development processes.
Experiment with new technology with a view to continually improving service delivery.
Act as the Tucasi champion and main point of contact for our parent companies IT & Compliance teams to ensure adherence to group policies and procedures

Essential skills/qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years DevOps/Infrastructure experience within a software product organisation
Experience managing risk to data assets
Demonstrable commitment to learning and professional development
Strong understanding and experience of maintaining Linux (RHEL) operating system in a production environment
Good understanding of traditional web server stack’s (e.g. Tomcat, HTTPD, Postgres)
Experience using configuration management systems (e.g. puppet)
Good understanding of TCP, HTTP, Networking and security appliances (i.e. how the internet works)
High level of accuracy and fluency in written and spoken English.
Results orientated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable skills/qualifications:
Experience in working in a DevOps/Agile culture
Good understanding of Containerisation and orchestration (e.g. Docker and Kubernates)
Experience of shift-left security testing
Experience with native AWS services or working in a microservice architecture
Experience with ISO27001 and PCI DSS
