POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists Fulfillment Supervisor with duties of responsibility concerning money, assisting other GS Agents with guest related situations; backing up the supervisor during busy times and assuming his/her duties during supervisor's absence. Assists guests with information and selection of proper products. Accounts for tickets sold or given. Balances the value of tickets sold with money received. Follows consistently Alterra Mountain Company/WP Policies and Procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Helps implement, supports and applies the Winter Park Way/Guest Experience Plan
  • Assists supervisor as required. Assumes supervisory duties on supervisor's days off, including opening office, disarming alarm system, making bank deposits amounting to daily averages of $15,000 in the summer and $50,000/100,000 in the winter. Fills in as supervisor in other offices when called upon to do so.
  • Counts, verifies and is responsible for up to $7,000.00 in vault.
  • Greets guests and assists with the selection of proper products by verbally communicating prices, types and other pertinent information on products available.
  • Processes sales/fulfills orders on computer system. Collects payment and gives correct change. Handles and is responsible for large amounts of money daily.
  • Prepares and completes daily Sales Report which balances with money received after all discounts, refunds and charges have been accounted for.
  • Assists GS Agents in daily duties, decisions and checking out (balancing).
  • Verifies each seller’s money with their computer report.
  • Makes sure each selling stations' information is backed up and restored into supervisor's unit. Prints a report for each selling station and a consolidated report for their location (office). This is an important control, verifying that all sales are recorded and turned in.
  • Audits returned/refunded tickets from exceptions report for each seller.
  • Verifies complimentary tickets issued and data entered into computer and verifies back up for tickets making sure they are categorized correctly.
  • Consolidates accounts receivable, credit cards, cash deposits and verifies that data was entered correctly into computer and is responsible for this information getting turned into the Central Station.
  • Responsible for daily processing to be done at the mid or end of each work day depending on location. This function consolidates information for year to date reports and deletes daily records. If this is not done correctly the next days sales will not be reported correctly.
  • Inspects and replenishes ticket/card stock inventory and supplies for the next days work.
  • Mails, by certified mail or Federal Express, tickets to wholesalers and travel agents from FAX, telephone or mail orders daily.
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of special promotions and discounts applicable. Is responsible for the selling of tickets at the correct discounted price during the correct time frame as set forth by the Marketing department. Must retain accuracy while working with several different Travel Agents and wholesalers
  • Deals with lodges,large groups and large numbers of tickets when working at the Group Desk. Responsible for accuracy in filling these ticket orders and receiving payment for them.
  • Assists in the general cleaning of work area.
  • Reports any unsafe conditions regarding equipment and work area or elsewhere

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED

Experience:

  • Cash handling experience desirable.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Established GS Agent at Winter Park or equivalent experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office or equivalent, the Internet, desktop publishing and database management software programs.  Can learn quickly those applications not known.
  • Knowledgeable in computerized point-of-sale systems
  • Is creative & extremely flexible.  Can conceptualize ideas.  Can think “outside the box.”  Has the ability to implement ideas.
  • Multiple languages are advantageous.
  • Able to use standard office equipment including printers, fax, copiers, PC, 10-key, desk phone

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Office Environment:

  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices, and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling on an occasional basis.
  • Able to talk and listen continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts' total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

hourly pay range: $20.00-$21.46
