The Translator role will support the Canada Workplace Solutions team with English <-> French translation activities, working independently with the Translations Lead on both internal and client facing deliverables.
Responsibilities
Translate requests from different internal services and resources.
Assist in the translation of various documents, such as proposals, newsletters, social posts, blog pages, thought leadership and insights.
Prioritize requests and translate documents from English to French.
Ensure translation quality and accuracy as well as compliance with Quebec's language laws.
Track requests and flag any delays or disruption in delivery.
Work involves some review of external and internal translations.
Support the business cases development for programs and related projects.
May develop and implement tracking and reporting, to maintain records of program activities and deliverables.
Role complexity: requires analysis and solving of increasingly complex problems. Interaction is with peers within Accenture before updating supervisors. Has some interaction with clients and/or Accenture management.
Role authority: requires minimal instruction on daily work tasks and a moderate level of instruction on new assignments.
Role decision impact: decisions impact own work and may impact the work of others
Role scope: individual contributor, part of a small work effort and/or team
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible translation experience with deliverables reflective of a corporate environment, with advanced experience in the use of translation tools.
Bilingual (French & English)
English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Translation, relevant certification, or equivalent work experience preferred.
Advanced proficiency in translations.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook.
Exposure to CAT tools.
Strong technology skills – ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
