Reporting to the Head of Strategic Governance, this role is a member of the wider Strategic Change team. The Performance Lead for Strategy will help to track and drive BGS&S strategic performance, including progress of strategic priorities and proof points. Working with senior stakeholders across BGS&S the successful candidate will maintain the reporting governance plan for the key strategic items, including developing and creating content for executive reports and forums to communicate the progress against our strategy that we have set out.

Key accountabilities of the role:

Maintain the stakeholder governance and engagement plan for the strategic priorities and key topics.

Create and execute plans to ensure key topics are ready for the required forum to time and quality.

Collaborate with colleagues across BGS&S working closely with subject-matter experts to track progress against strategic objectives, initiatives, and proof points.

Interpret key performance data across all elements of the strategy and communicate their progress.

Depict progress of the strategy within written reports in an engaging and creative style, adapting the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on the audience.

Identify opportunities for colleagues to gain a clear understanding of our S&S strategy, improving colleague engagement.

Work with the Communications team to translate BGS&S performance updates into a broader narrative for BGS&S. Inputting into communications content planning to ensure key business activities, in line with the strategy are reflected.

Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a high-volume workload often requiring short turnaround times.

Support the wider team on the delivery of strategic projects and roll out of any changes to our strategy.

Support wider Strategic Change team with developing performance based internal communications programme – i.e, newsletters, awards, events.

We are looking for an individual who has/is:

  • Exceptional writing and research skills and excellent attention to detail – ideally experience of writing executive reports or board level papers
  • Strong communication and creative storytelling skills
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of core business Key Performance Indicators
  • Proven experience of creating data driven insight – both qualitative and quantitative
  • Excellent organisational skills and multitasking ability
  • Strong relationship managements skills
