We are searching for our next group of engineering co-ops for a 6-month assignment at our Beverly, MA, facility. Our co‑op program is designed to develop early‑career talent and build a strong pipeline of future engineers. Students gain hands-on exposure, work on real projects, and make meaningful contributions. Throughout the program, co‑ops build technical skills, strengthen problem‑solving abilities, and gain real‑world experience that enhances both their academic learning and future career opportunities.
About the Role
Axcelis is seeking a Warehouse Operations co-op to support our Operations Technology team in continuous improvement implementation, operational analysis and optimization within Axcelis’ state-of-the-art warehousing and logistics center. This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of manufacturing logistics, technology, and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate is an engineering student with industrial engineering and some software experience who is eager to apply their skills in a manufacturing logistics and operations-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
Assist in implementing and sustaining operations processes to improve logistics, applied labor, and manufacturing quality.
Document and Train operators on custom applications introduced to streamline operations.
Analyze operational data and contribute to process optimization initiatives.
Work closely with engineering, production, and IT teams to solve real-world manufacturing challenges.
Document findings and provide recommendations for efficiency improvements.
What We’re Looking For
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial Engineering or a related field.
Interest in manufacturing operations, process improvement, and technology integration.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with databases (SQL).
Familiarity with data analysis tools: Python, PowerBI, Advanced Excel
Understanding of data visualization and analysis techniques.

U.S. BASE SALARY RANGE
$20.42 - $35.70This base salary range reflects the typical compensation for this role across U.S. locations.
Our salary ranges are determined by role and level; individual pay is determined based on
multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, work
location, and internal equity. The range provides the opportunity for growth and progression as
you develop within the role.
Base pay is one part of our U.S. total compensation package which includes eligibility in the
Axcelis Team Incentive bonus plan, and comprehensive benefits package (for regular
employees working 20+ hours a week).
