Job Description

Acciona is seeking a motivated and talented IT Co-op Student to join our dynamic team. As an IT Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of Information Technology while working closely with experienced professionals in the field. This position offers valuable exposure to real-world IT projects and technologies, allowing you to apply your skills and knowledge in a practical setting.

  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware and software issues.
  • Support the IT team in managing network systems, including LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Provide technical support to staff and assist with IT-related inquiries.
  • Manage and administer the ServiceDesk, assisting users with follow-up on ServiceDesk tickets.
  • Coordinate with the central ServiceDesk team and participate in operational committee meetings to address any ticket issues or SLA violations.
  • Periodically review ServiceDesk reports to ensure effective ticket handling and resolution.
  • Oversee asset management, including reporting and updating as required for the position.
  • Handle the setup of Microsoft 365 accounts, SharePoint, and Teams Channels for users, following team instructions and procedures for provisioning new hires.
  • Provision new computers, including imaging, testing, and coordinating shipping to the customer's location.
  • Assist users with day-to-day office IT operations, ensuring smooth technological functionality.
  • Engage in design/dev of SharePoint team for process design, testing and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and suggest innovative ideas.
  • Contribute to the documentation of IT procedures and user guides.
  • Collaborate with team members on various IT initiatives and tasks

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT and gaining practical experience in the field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking concepts, and software applications.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and end-users.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies like Microsoft 365, SharePoint services & AWS, eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and concepts is a plus.
  • Previous industrial co-op experience in IT support or related roles is beneficial but not required.
