WHAT THE JOB IS ALL ABOUT »

As a Systems Technician, you will be working at the B1G Remote Center in Rosemont, playing a key part in the delivery of our services over a game week.

The role will encompass the management of our replay technology, supporting B1G Officials and Hawk-Eye staff on-site at stadiums. Your main focus will be to manage the delivery of our software, jumping into action whenever a problem might arise. You will need to be prepared to work long days throughout the weekend and public holidays as we work whenever College Football happens.

You will gain exposure to various other services as you grow in the role and become a more experienced member of the team.  We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day-to-day tasks but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES » 

  • Pre-game planning and setting up Hawk-Eye technology ready for game day (testing and configuration of software and network)

  • Conducting pre-game checks of the systems in accordance with standard procedures

  • Liaising, game officials, host broadcasters and other Hawk-Eye teams on location

  • Monitoring the systems during the game

  • Monitoring hardware and software performances, being able to troubleshoot and report encountered issues

  • Taking full responsibility for our systems and representing our company to the highest standards

SKILLS »

  • A strong technical grounding

  • Ideally with a degree in a science, technology, mathematics or engineering course or relevant equivalent experience

  • Bright and enterprising with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proactive attitude and ability to work on your own initiative

  • Time management skills and ability to work in a high pressure, live broadcast environment

  • Ability to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner

  • Flexible and adaptable to a schedule that is dictated by the fixture list and can change at short notice

  • Acceptance that the nature of our business means that work will be carried out over weekends/federal holidays

  • Bonus experience: Networking, broadcast, live event production

  • A passion for sports, knowledge of College Football is a bonus, but not a requirement
