As a member of the Personalization Team, you will have the unique opportunity to help build the Athlete Experience through innovative thought leadership and data driven decision making.
The Personalization Strategist is a subject matter expert for the athlete experience within addressable channels (Email/Push/SMS) with collaboration across teams to support the full omni experience. This role will partner with Marketing Analytics, eCommerce Personalization and Technology partners to identify where the athlete experience is lacking, develop strategic recommendations for improvement, test until success is proven and scale to all qualifying athletes. This is an exciting opportunity for you to dive into the mind of the athlete so we can better understand how to build meaningful omni experiences for them.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Gather data and insights to understand the landscape and trends in the sporting goods and omni-channel retail industry
Analyze internal athlete data in partnership with Athlete Analytics team to ensure test ideas are aligned with strategic business objectives and will deliver the best omnichannel athlete experience
Following test completion, collaborate with Marketing Analytics to draw insights that will educate continued testing or scaling
Write test briefs to outline hypothesis, desired Athlete experience, creative needs, project timelines, test design, and KPIs
Collaborate with pod members to define level of effort for each teammate to execute and overall feasibility of test
Own and manage agendas throughout the sprint, stay in consistent communication with pod members and collaborate with teams outside the pod to ensure personalized experiences launch on time
For successful tests, create scaling brief defining tools, processes and steps needed to automate to the full qualifying audience
Build and maintain strong working relationships with Data Science, Marketing Analytics, eCommerce Personalization, Category Planning, Loyalty, and Marketing Tech teams to identify gaps in the athlete experience and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate closely with Technology partners to have a strong understanding of the current MarTech stack as well as the features to be available on their roadmap
Utilize knowledge of available tools and features to build personalized experiences that can be scaled if successful
Remain up to date on all concurrently running tests and the launch of new addressable channels, site and app features that could impact test feasibility and measurement
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
3-5 years experience
Process design (preferred)
User-centered design training or experience (preferred)
Familiarity with enterprise reporting tools such as INTERA, Tableau etc. are a plus
Mastery of the MS Office suite of products (i.e. PowerPoint and Excel)
Experience with personalization and testing platforms (Certona, Movable Ink, etc) is a plus
Comfort with managing marketing campaigns, A/B testing practices, measurement methodology
Familiarity with database structures and capabilities (preferred)
Experience with JIRA, Workfront, other project management tools/reports
Foundational understanding of Agile processes
Ability to manipulate and analyze large data sets and draw insight. Confidence with data, ability to communicate insights, and drive decision-making
Qualitative research capabilities and analysis (market, consumer etc.)
Proactive with an ownership mindset
Ability to identify & gain buy in from partners on high value opportunities
Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal and in presentations
Keen intellectual curiosity and passion for continuous improvement
Ability to effectively partner across the enterprise and establish and maintain strong partnerships
High collaboration with Personalization pod members and builds partnerships with key teams outside of the pod

Targeted Pay Range: $67,100 - $109,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
