What you'll do:

  • Stewarding relationships with our integrated partners within Loblaw Digital and Loblaw Media, build and implement comprehensive media strategies that deliver both brand and performance objectives.

  • Translate strategic business objectives, customer goals and performance targets into useful and clear briefs across various cross-functional teams and channel experts to drive integrated multichannel efforts that ladder up to business goals

  • Act as the business partner with our Loblaw Digital Demand Generation team to devise annual and seasonal digital media plans for brand and performance campaigns as well as always-on demand generation tactics focused on driving digital sales. This includes programmatic, paid social, search, shopping, and affiliate marketing

  • Work closely with Brand and PR Marketing teams to develop compelling media support plans that bolster the brand and drive success of key product and promotional programs

  • Act as business collaborator with our Loblaw Media partners to devise traditional media strategies, while also leading brand-level activities with vendors directly

  • With Loblaw Media & Loblaw Digital teams, establish annual channel roadmaps to operationalize top-down OKRs and deliver business objectives through media

  • Work with Senior Manager of Ecommerce Growth to support growth strategies that drive acquisition and retention of online shoppers

  • Leverage Marketing Intelligence to enable personalization efforts, build/scale/automate audience strategies, and develop a strong measurement and attribution framework; manage direct report whose work will support these initiatives

  • Work with channel owners to capture and surface strategic insights that can be operationalized in other areas of our business such as search trends and product resonance

  • Work closely with Email Manger to supervise list health, optimize performance, unlock greater experimentation, personalization and drive email acquisition initiatives

  • Own media budget oversight ensuring financial process adherence: periodic forecasting, PO/SOW management and tracking.

  • Building and leading diverse teams that foster a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging


What you bring:

  • Bachelor Degree (Business, Marketing, Statistics, Engineering, Economics or similar)

  • 6-8 years of experience in media planning and execution including 3-4 years of experience developing a team of digital media practitioners

  • Strong people management skills with proven leadership skills in handling cross-functional efforts without direct reports

  • Exceptional knowledge of digital media ecosystem including ad tech and data providers. In platform experience is a plus

  • Collaborative and positive attitude with passion for questioning assumptions and answering questions with data to unlock value for the enterprise

  • Self-directed, proactive and able to define and implemented projects independently

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people

  • Strong executive level communications skills. Ability to present findings to senior management and display a comfort level responding to questions
