Summary
The Inventory Clerk II position is responsible for proper control of all incoming and outgoing inventory for the site, as well as mail, supplies and packages that arrive on site. Additionally, he/she is responsible for all duties surrounding the purchasing and ordering of supplies and materials for the site. He/she will assist in the management of the linen inventory, ensuring accurate product numbers and quality.
Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Receives, records and tracks all inventory, mail and supplies that arrives or leaves the site, ensures packages are delivered and recorded appropriately (10% time)
Maintains inventory control system as directed by company standards DOPs; ensuring inventory is stored and stocked in supply room according to standards; ensures proper process for checking out inventory or supplies is followed; updates all inventory management system changes according to vendor specifications (25% time)
Assists in accounting for the department; ordering, processing, reviewing, and approving purchase orders; maintain checkbook, accounting for all transactions (40% time)
Maintains linen inventory; processes incoming and outgoing linen, both physically and in company systems; completes audits and documentation associated with linen count and inventory (15% time)
Performs other duties as needed (10% time)
Travel Requirements
Travel is not a requirement for this position. If training is required off site, it will be local and be about half to full day of time.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
a) Education
High School diploma or equivalent
b) Training requirements
Basic office duties 1-2 years
Basic mathematical calculations performed
PC/Tablet efficient Safety training experience preferred, related to lifting
c) Knowledge and skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks Revised August 2014
Ability to take direction and complete tasks
Ability to prioritize assignments
Basic computer, tablet skills required
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to calculate basic mathematical skills
Ability to work in general office environment
Ability to utilize basic loading dock tools and equipment
