The annual base salary for this position ranges from $82,900.00 in our lowest geographic market to $185,700.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

The Data and AI organization is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Engineering Enablement team. This organization develops data centric software application and data pipelines that powers Nike business teams.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for Software Engineer II that will bring their experience, and passion and help us deliver a verity of data centric applications and that will power the Nike enterprise.

The candidate will need to have advance experience building and supporting AWS applications using the latest frameworks and technologies. The candidate will have to demonstrate team player behaviour and ability to continue to learn and grow.

The following qualifications and technical skills are essential for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another relevant field or relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
  • 3+ years of experience in software development building back-end components and services
  • 2+ years of experience building REST services.
  • 3+ years professional experience using AWS services such as: Lambda, Elasticsearch, Dynamo and Kinesis.
  • Ability to code in NodeJS, Java and Python
  • Buliding infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

If this is you, you will be joining one of our engineering squads to perform the following:

  • Design and implement highly scalable cloud-based data services
  • Develop frameworks that enable data ingestion using various patterns
  • Utilize continuous integration and deployment frameworks including automated unit tests and integration testing
  • Contribute to collaborative reviews of designs, code, and test plans
  • Support existing applications, resolve defects and develop enhancements

A typical day with the team will usually start with meeting with a morning standup to discuss the current sprint work. You will then continue working on the task you own while collaborating with the team members throughout the day to discuss any open question, a production issue or solution design.
