  • Completion of the profit-and-loss statement in conjunction with the financial analyst group on a monthly basis according to the closing schedule.
  • Oversee the execution of general ledger journals, payables transactions, receivables transactions, fixed asset transactions, and banking/treasury transactions.
  • Oversee and manage global actuals to budget and provide variance analysis.
  • Planning and execution of global and interim annual financial statement audit process, including planning, execution, and liaison with various country auditors.
  • In conjunction with managing the Financial Analyst group, execution of the annual financial budgeting, as well as periodic financial re-forecasting processes.
  • Oversee banking transactions, including review of bank reconciliations, approval of transfers, and ensuring bank transactions are coded correctly.
  • Assistance in the completion of corporate income tax returns.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Finance team to implement Workday Finance roadmap items.
  • Overall team management, training, onboarding and ensuring performance of the assigned team is at par with the company’s expectations.
  • Ensure completion of relevant people management documentation i.e. performance reviews, coaching documents, disciplinary actions.
  • Aid in board deck reports on a monthly basis
  • Champion company core values and other company programs to engage and motivate our employees.
  • Prepare and present consolidated P&L monthly to CFO and Internal Stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

University degree in accounting or with a concentration in accounting, and professional certification as outlined in Certification, Licenses, & Registration below is required

On-going professional development courses is an asset

Experience

Strong understanding of core accounting concepts

Strong system aptitude, ability to quickly learning and absorb enterprise level software platforms

Previous Financial Analysis experience (minimum 2 years)

Ability to speak clearly, easily communicating ideas both in writing and verbally

Good presentation skills

Minimum of 5 years of managing a Finance Team.

2+ years’ experience working with Workday or other ERP system

2+ years’ experience working with Adaptive Planning or other Financial planning system

Solid understand foreign exchange concepts

Experience conducting operational and financial analysis on revenues, operating expenses, and overhead expenses

Experience in the preparation of annual budgets, both capital and operating

Experience in the preparation of periodic financial operating forecasts

Experience in performing income statement and balance sheet financial analysis

Experience in the preparation of cost models for specific operating expense lines

Prior experience working with Financial planning and analysis software and planning/forecasting processes would be an asset

Certificates, Licenses, & Registration:

Employees in these jobs must possess one or more of the following certifications: Certified General Accountant (CGA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
