Together, we’re building a better tomorrow for our employees, customers, partners, and communities. As a key member of the Storage Software team, you will be responsible for designing and developing software for a state-of-the-art distributed storage system. You will help us build datacenter software technologies and expertise to drive Samsung memory technologies and innovations for use in public and private clouds by leveraging the benefits of memory innovations.

 

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA offices 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

  • Develop, unit test and maintain code for various components in distributed storage system that provides access to file system
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute best practices for software
  • Troubleshoot, debugging and resolve issues found during testing cycles.
  • Write engineering tests for the owned modules to ensure the new feature correctness without negatively impacting system performance.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and implement various system

 What You Bring

  • BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of C/ C++ or Python programming
  • Experience with the Linux operating system
  • Strong foundation in algorithms & data structures is required
  • Knowledge on Linux multithreaded software development is highly desired.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details is a must.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Eagerness to learn new technologies and improve technical skills
  • You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.
  • An avid learner, you approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding.

Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training. Base Pay Range
$97,750$132,250 USD
