Engine/Clutch Assembler

Summary

The Engine/Clutch Assembler is responsible for preparing and installing engine/clutch parts, sub-systems, and components on a moving assembly line. This role ensures quality standards are met through inspections and adherence to established processes. Assemblers must be able to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Grade 5

Responsibilities

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, and production equipment safely.
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
  • Operate required testing and diagnostic equipment to achieve product quality standards.
  • Perform tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Group Leader.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols.
  • Work at a consistent pace while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Cross train to other workstations to enable rotation of work.
  • Work overtime as required by production schedules.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Experience & Skills

  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Bend, twist, kneel, squat, and reach overhead frequently.
  • Use air/power/vibrating tools and perform strong pincher gripping.
  • Stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Safely work around moving equipment and industrial vehicles.
  • May be required to perform these tasks for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Perform repetitive upper extremity movements.

Additional Information

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
  • Have a basic knowledge of computers preferred
  • Must be able to travel for extended periods of time for training.

Base Pay Range:

$21.38 - $25.24
