About the Role
 

The LexisNexis Risk Solutions internship is perfect. As a data science intern with the LexisNexis Healthcare group, you'll gain real-world industry experience. You will have the opportunity to network with peers and leadership. It offers the chance to improve analytical abilities, acquire industry knowledge, and effectively collaborate with diverse colleagues and professionals.

The program runs from May 19, 2025, to July 25, 2025, and is open to junior students graduating in May 2026. This internship is based in Alpharetta, GA, with no relocation assistance provided.
 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating effectively within diverse development environments to ensure seamless cooperation with key stakeholders.

  • Working under the guidance of senior data scientists or statistical modelers.

  • Embracing data collection, manipulation, and model development.

  • Addressing fundamental technical obstacles directly and exhibiting your proficiency in problem-solving.

  • Improving Data Quality or SDOH depending on the internship's business needs is the specific project.

  • Developing analytical skills.


Requirements

  • Be a currently enrolled student working on a bachelor’s in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field of study. Must be graduating in May 2026.

  • Possess foundational knowledge of statistics and machine learning with a demonstrated interest in healthcare data analytics.

  • Have expertise in Python, SQL, R, H2O, Excel, and statistical/machine learning models.

  • Display familiarity with data query/manipulation languages and showcase a basic grasp of data modeling principles.

  • Have a passion for technology and a desire to learn and progress quickly.

  • Be a natural problem solver, collaborate with a team to resolve issues, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
