Summary

The Lead Software Engineer (PSE) will act as a senior technical leader with deep Oracle ERP functional expertise, bridging business processes with ERP configurations and modern engineering practices. This role demands mastery of Oracle Financials and Procurement domains, hands-on integration skills, and the ability to mentor teams while driving scalable, customer-focused solutions. This position will spearhead innovation, guide and mentor development teams, and drive product ownership, solution design and software delivery

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Architect and implement ERP technical solutions by translating functional requirements into executable designs using interfaces, APIs, and automation frameworks.
2. Design, build, and optimize integrations leveraging Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Oracle SOA Suite, and ERP APIs to ensure seamless data flow across modules and external systems.
3. Develop and manage ERP interfaces and FBDI processes for Receivables, Payables, and Procurement, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and compliance.
4. Collaborate closely with functional engineers to validate business processes and define the technical execution path (e.g., transaction automation, invoice imports, credit memo handling).
5. Create detailed technical design specifications from functional requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with ERP standards.
6. Lead technical demonstrations and proof-of-concepts for stakeholders, showcasing ERP integrations, automation, and performance improvements.
7. Drive backlog refinement and PI planning from a technical perspective, ensuring features are broken down into executable tasks with clear dependencies.
8. Ensure system reliability and scalability by designing highly available ERP technical solutions and monitoring performance metrics.
9. Mentor and guide engineers on ERP technical practices, integration patterns, and automation frameworks, fostering technical excellence.
10. Lead incident management and on-call rotations by diagnosing ERP technical issues, resolving integration failures, and ensuring timely communication.
11. Conduct technical code reviews and domain-driven design sessions, applying modern modeling tools to strengthen ERP architecture.
12. Champion automation and innovation by introducing AI-driven ERP enhancements (e.g., intelligent invoice processing, agent-based workflows).
13. Partner with PM/TPM/EM to prioritize technical deliverables across releases, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
14. Promote best practices in ERP technical engineering

Professional & Technical Skills:
Core Skill Set (Must-Have)

1. Oracle ERP Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Oracle Financials Cloud and Oracle Procurement Cloud, with hands-on experience in ERP technical implementations, customizations, and performance optimization.
2. ERP Technical Execution: Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Order Management (OM), and Procurement processes, with the ability to design and implement the technical execution layer (interfaces, APIs, automation) that supports functional configurations.
3. Integration Platforms: Proficient in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle SOA Suite, enabling seamless ERP-to-ERP and ERP-to-third-party integrations.
4. Interfaces & Data Management: Skilled in developing and managing Oracle Interfaces, REST/SOAP APIs, and leveraging File-Based Data Import (FBDI) for Receivables and Payables automation.
5. Business–Technology Bridge: Ability to collaborate with functional engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions — defining how transactions, imports, and workflows are executed.
6. Automation & Innovation: Exposure to AI-driven ERP enhancements and intelligent automation, with capability to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies into ERP technical workflows.
7. Agile Engineering Leadership: Demonstrated Agile mindset, adaptable to dynamic environments, with experience in backlog refinement, sprint execution, and technical delivery across releases.
8. Team Leadership & Mentorship: Proven track record in mentoring engineers, guiding technical design reviews, and fostering excellence in ERP technical practices and integration standards.

Extended Skill Set (Nice-to-Have)

1. Trading Community Architecture (TCA): Understanding of TCA structures and their role in customer and supplier data management.
2. Fusion Tax: Basic functional knowledge of Fusion Tax configurations and compliance.
3. Oracle SOA Suite: Broader understanding of SOA for enterprise-grade integrations.
4. BI Publisher: Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher for reporting and analytics.
5. AI & Automation:
o Oracle Fusion AI Studio: Design, configuration, validation, and deployment of AI agents.
o Generative AI Fundamentals: Knowledge of prompt engineering, guardrails, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and semantic search for ERP-driven automation.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
1. B.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent education and experience
2. 10-12 years of experience in application design, development and delivery
3. Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
