Position Overview

Apollo is seeking a talented and motivated Client Service Specialist to join the firm’s Global Client Management Team.  As a key member of a dynamic team, this role will be vital in fostering positive client relationships, resolving inquiries, and supporting business development efforts across our Institutional and Global Wealth businesses in the APAC region.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Client Support: Work in close partnership with Sales to provide best-in-class client service to institutional and global wealth clients in Japan throughout the whole servicing lifecycle, from prospect to client.  Coordinate prompt and professional responses to inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing accurate information on investment products, performance, and processes. Ensure that all client needs are consistently met and strive to exceed client expectations
  • Operational Support: Work closely with internal teams, including Enterprise Solutions, CPS, Compliance, and Investment Professionals, to resolve client-related operational issues promptly. Collaborate to streamline processes and improve overall service efficiency.
  • Client Collateral: Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Product and Client Management Group teams to draft and/or translate client communications including but not limited to ad-hoc inquiries, marketing materials, diligence materials (e.g. RFPs, DDQs) fund fact cards and fund commentary.  Maintain and manage distribution of up-to-date marketing and commentary materials across Apollo’s product suite that is fit for use in Japan
  • Onboarding and Account Management: Assist in the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with various requirements including obligation management and regulatory matters. Maintain client records, account documentation, and update relevant databases.
  • Logistics Management: work closely with Sales, Marketing & Events to facilitate meetings, webinars roadshows, and other client and prospects events in Japan
  • Other: marketing and business development related projects such as conducting events/seminars as requested

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of prior experience in a client services role at an alternative asset management firm or investment/private bank
  • Client-centric mindset
  • Previous project management experience strongly preferred
  • Self-motivated and resourceful; able to multi-task and focus on delivering results
  • Ability to operate as a team player – energetic, enthusiastic, personable, proactive, with a positive attitude
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills to support communication with internal and external counterparties
  • Excels in a rigorous and fast-paced team-oriented work environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Fluency in Japanese and English
