As a Fitness Instructor Trainer, you take fitness out of the gym and into a resort setting at vacation destinations around the world. As a Fitness Instructor you have the opportunity to make fitness fun by delivering classes tailored to the vacation lifestyle. Our programs are built around four focus areas: Refuel, Renew, Move and Explore; designed to make vacations healthy and uplifting -- benefiting both physical and mental well-being. We are looking for energetic and passionate fitness instructors who are eager to embrace our mission of delivering optimal fitness programs while creating memorable vacation experiences. 

* Group Fitness Certification Required *

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 

  • Instruct group fitness classes to the ability of the Owners and guests participating (e.g., aqua aerobics, stretching, mind body, cardio/strength, outdoor nature walks, senior classes and youth classes).  

  • Deliver classes with an enthusiastic and engaging teaching style to promote a safe, fun, and relaxing atmosphere for guests.  

  • Instruct personalized, small group, semi-private classes and one-on-one personal training.  

  • Assess individual's current exercise program and level of fitness and develop personalized exercise programs and provide fitness counseling within the program standards.  

  • Obtain group fitness certification within thirty (30) days of hire.  

  • For resorts offering RUN level program, personal training certification required within ninety (90) days of hire.

  • Welcome and acknowledge all Owners and guests; anticipate and address Owner and guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; always show genuine interest and appreciation.  

  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with Owners, guests and co-workers; use clear and professional language.  

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team/co-workers to reach common goals; listen/respond appropriately feedback from co-workers in and outside of your department. 

  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.  

  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.

  • Follow company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional; properly maintain confidential and proprietary information - protect company assets.  

  • Reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop (bend head or body forward or downward); grasp, turn, and manipulate objects; move up and down stairs and/or service ramps; move, lift, or carry objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.  

  • Attention to customer service with a professional and pleasant personality. 

  • Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 

  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
