The role of the Learning Specialist includes utilizing the LMS, assessing the effectiveness of learning programs, creating and maintaining learning materials, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of ongoing programs, and developing and implementing learning initiatives and activities. They also collaborate with stakeholders to assess learning needs/projects, moderate sessions and summarize outputs and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage holistic calendar for scheduling and course offerings for learning and leadership development
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, facilities, materials and resources.
  • Manage LMS content management (Cornerstone OnDemand) for training sessions including:
  • Create course offerings
  • Create and monitor sessions
  • Co-facilitate/moderate sessions
  • Manage registration, updates to timing, participants, etc.
  • Ensure invitations are sent to Outlook calendars
  • Organize facilitators and confirm facilitators have access to the session and materials
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys and feedback to measure learning outcomes and make continuous improvements.
  • Learning analytics – Data collection, dashboard creation/maintenance, active monitoring and recommendations
  • Partner to write and execute on communications and marketing strategies
  • Liaise with HR Shared Services and HRIT as needed, e.g., course administration, continuous/process improvement, technical needs requests with IT, etc.
  • Provide support to material development including, presentations, job aids and resources to support learning objectives and outcomes (downstream from Instructional design).
  • Manage partnership with eLearning providers (3rd party); manage relationship and tracking with internal partners related to eLearning needs
  • Make minor eLearning updates using Articulate Storyline and potentially Articulate Rise
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the company.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in learning and development. 

Skills/Requirements

  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other training technology platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Learning)
  • Proven experience as an HR specialist/coordinator or similar role
  • Project management and program administration
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone OnDemand
  • Knowledge of HR business function, processes, and systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Continuous improvement/process improvement mindset
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Education: Bachelors or equivalent in relevant experience

Compensation:

The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
