Role Summary
As Engineering Leader, you will serve as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for our Product Design and Quality organizations in Poland, ensuring seamless integration and alignment across the global enterprise. You will lead and manage a multidisciplinary engineering team—encompassing Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Fluid System Engineering (FSE), and Quality—to ensure the on-time delivery of program milestones and the execution of all Quality activities within Aeroderivative Engineering. Additional focus of your role will be people growth and development, where you will lead regular discussions on priorities and provide consistent, actionable feedback to drive high performance and career progression. Your leadership will be vital in coordinating with the global organization to establish an effective division of labor and ensure the successful delivery of key business objectives.
Job Description
Responsibilities
- Drive Engineering Quality excellence across Aeroderivative Engineering activities, with a primary focus on reducing Customer and Manufacturing Escapes and supporting the execution of the Gas Power Engineering (GPE) Quality Strategic Roadmap action plan
- Provide technical leadership and direction within the assigned engineering team by defining work assignments, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and meeting project timelines.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact and escalation for assigned team
- Act as the local representative for the Product Design team, ensuring strong communication and alignment with the global organization regarding programs and projects.
- Facilitate effective collaboration and information sharing in global organization enviroment
- Manage and develop engineering team by setting performance expectations, providing feedback, coaching, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.
- Define and manage the division of work and responsibilities between assigned teams to ensure efficient coverage of business objectives.
- Coordinate with global peers to ensure proper workload management and on-time delivery.
- Ensure all program and task execution adheres to the latest established processes, quality standards, and relevant business requirements.
- Provide data-driven input and support the development of key business performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics where applicable.
- Develop and maintain specialized knowledge within relevant engineering disciplines, serving as a subject matter expert for best practices and quality standards.
- Stay informed about the latest technical advancements in the field and contribute to the development of departmental strategies and policies.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of best practices to integrate engineering functions with other departments.
- Utilize sound judgment to solve complex technical and operational challenges within product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
- Apply technical expertise for data analysis to support recommendations and leverage internal and external resources for informed decision-making.
- Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced colleagues, sharing expertise and best practices.
- Lead small to medium-sized projects with moderate risks and resource requirements, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information effectively, building consensus and influencing stakeholders on technical topics.
Required Qualifications
- This role requires experience in Engineering/Technology and Functional Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a master’s degree from an accredited university or college
- Master of Science in Engineering (preferred)
- Project or team leadership experience
- Knowledge of engineering processes/tools
- System/hardware knowledge relevant with Gas Turbines ( preferred Aeroderivative GT knowledge)
