Role Overview:

As Database admin with strong DevOps skills complement an Engineering teams capability to foster our "you build it, you run it" culture

• Design and implement data processing in a big data environment

• Database design and management in a cloud environment

• Build and sustain the pipeline of data ingress, processing and data distribution

• Identify the most efficient technology approach to the implement business logic

• As liaison into the larger DevOps organization ensure alignment with the strategic technology approach and DevOps concepts

• Entertain working relationships with your technical counterparts at our vendors and external partners

• Implement monitoring and alerting to support the team reaching customer related SLAs

• Manage engineering and production costs in our cloud environment

• Identify and track SLAs for regular review

• Collaborate with our Support team to build the tool set that can feed into productive customer communications

• Identify areas where to apply managed service over self hosted

• Scripting: PERL, Python, Bash

• IaC: CloudFormation, Terraform, Helm
