The Role 

Metropolis is seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships (Marketplace) to build and sustain meaningful relationships within the mobility ecosystem. This role will focus on creating value for Metropolis members and real estate clients while driving outstanding business results for both Metropolis and our corporate partners. The ideal candidate will have the ability to think strategically while executing effectively. They will possess strong interpersonal skills to enhance partnership value through relationship development, negotiations, and contract management. Enjoying the challenge of crafting strategy and structure in uncertain situations, they will excel at working independently while maintaining strong connections with their team and various internal stakeholders. 

 

Responsibilities  

  • Refine the Marketplace strategy and develop new categories of partners 
  • Lead complex, multifaceted deals with prospective partners across FinTech, Travel, Entertainment, Mobility, and other industries to embed Metropolis wherever consumers and enterprises are  
  • Be a strategic thought partner to team members in different parts of the business, working closely with Ops and Product leadership to formulate strategy and identify how to drive impact through partnerships 
  • Build consensus behind deal strategy and timely support for deal execution across diverse internal audiences, from senior executives to cross-functional stakeholders 
  • Determine the right balance between near traction and securing value across a longer time horizon 
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and updates on partnership progress and outcomes. 

 

Requirements and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required, 8+ years of relevant experience at a fast-paced company 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships with partners 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Results-oriented mindset 
  • Exceptional communication and negotiations skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams for complex programs  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making 
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner 

 

When you join Metropolis, you’ll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $175,000.00 to 215,000.00 annually. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base pay is one component of Metropolis’s total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
