Your role at Clorox:
The Logistics TPO position is responsible for fork truck driving and the operation of warehouse equipment. Control, operate and maintain palletizer, robots and trash compacting equipment. Maintain plant quality standards and initiate held finished product actions to product not meeting standard. Daily forklift operation and movement of all finished goods, raw materials, packaging materials, scrap, equipment, trash, etc. Perform all tasks in a safe manner. Address all potential safety hazards and report to the plant safety pillar and/or management as appropriate. Participation in the use of WCO (World Class Operations) tools and the maintenance of assigned equipment is required. TPO is expected to contribute to the department’s success in Safety, Quality, Cost and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

This position will be from 6 AM - 6 PM on the 2-2-3 schedule with a potential of OT.
Hourly Range: $22.60-$28.49
In this role, you will:
Essential Functions and Approximate % of Time:
Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment (palletizer, robots, compactors) to meet or exceed required standards and in a manner meeting the company’s procedures and policies:
- Challenge unsafe conditions and behaviors in self and others.
- Monitor incoming product and run product into palletizer as needed to build skids. Properly maintain slip-sheet and wrap supplies.
- Perform routine mechanical and maintenance tasks in Palletizer and Mezzanine areas and write work orders as necessary. Assist with all scheduled preventive maintenance. Perform WCO functions including, but not limited to, AM Steps 1-3, PM, Kaizen, FI, SMED.
- Move finished product from production floor when palletizers are not capable of operating and fluid load product.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process failures and complete minor mechanical repairs. Remove or replace various large and small pieces of equipment using hand tools, as needed.
- Verify skid ticket information with Departments. Track run amounts via the Production Plan. Print tickets for day and night shift.
- Perform special projects related to cost savings, WCO, WCD. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and take action to implement improvements.
- Maintain Palletizer Lock Box for keys to trailers supporting fluid loaded products. Lock out and unlock trailers following Standard Lock Out Procedure.
- Maintain appropriate levels of housekeeping.
- Provide detailed daily communication to peers and managers on equipment performance and issues as it relates to safety, quality, production and resource needs.
- Complete all required training in a timely manner. Support training of others as needed.
Safely and efficiently perform fork truck driving duties in a manner meeting the company’s procedures and policies:
- Challenge unsafe conditions and behaviors in self and others.
- Properly service manufacturing lines by keeping lines properly stocked with raw materials, removing finished product, hauling trash, recycling and reclaim. Properly handle and document End of Run materials.
- Accurately load and unload product. Follow standard lock out and documentation procedures. Update FIFO boards. Document shipping/receiving information in SAP database as required.
- Visually inspect trailer for general condition. Properly document and report exceptions.
- Maintain communication with operations and other drivers to ensure proper service and help other areas when needed.
- Accurately load and unload trailers; move trailers, as needed.
- Remove skids from palletizer and help re-stack fallen skids or finish partial skids.
- Inventory and order shipping materials (slip sheets, pallets, splicing tape, air bags, adhesives, etc.).
- Monitor load discrepancies and verify production records. Trace problems, physically and electronically, to root cause.
- Maintain appropriate levels of housekeeping.
- Recondition damaged stock.
- Hand-stack finished product, as needed.
- Provide detailed daily communication to peers and managers on equipment performance and issues as it relates to safety, quality, production and resource needs.
- Perform WCO activities/sustainment actions.
- Complete all required training in a timely manner. Support training of others as needed.
Perform team coordination activities related to team safety, quality, production scheduling or other core business functions.
Perform safety inspections of fork truck before driving, logs mileage and any problems noted. Write work orders and change batteries as needed.
Empty designated recycle buggies as needed. Operate balers. Log weight of finished bales and load onto trailer.
Perform Hazmat responsibilities as needed.
Backfill for Shipping & Receiving Clerk/Dock Coordinator position as needed.
Perform and accept peer evaluations.
Perform these and other duties as assigned.
What we look for:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Years and Type of Experience: 1 year of manufacturing experience or equivalent education/experience
- Requirements:
- Successful completion of required training:
- Department training and other skills training determined necessary
- Technical training up to Level 4 (as needed) including TPC (Technical Publishing Company) books
- Successful completion of KeyTrain tests (reading, math, mechanical aptitude, locating information)
- Fork Truck Certified
- Preferred Experience:
- 1-3 years of manufacturing or equivalent mechanical experience
- Experience with SAP or Microsoft Office products
- Experience with machine repair and/or troubleshooting in a production environment

- Assisting in administering forklift policies and procedures, implementing goals, strategies and plans to ensure safety and environmental measures maintained throughout the plant/site
- Participate in Forklift Safety Audits
- Attend a “Train-the-Trainer” forklift certification class
- General OSHA training and certification for forklifts
- Ensure plant employees understand the forklift policies and procedures through appropriate training
- Education Level/Degree: High school diploma or GED required
