IQVIA is seeking an experienced Associate Director for a new role in EU Market Access & Tender Management. This position will focus on retaining and developing expertise in implementing local market access strategies for products, ensuring business continuity. The role also involves aligning with demand planning across EU markets and conducting market access and price analysis.

Our client is a global biopharmaceutical company committed to bringing biosimilar medicines to market, ensuring high-quality biologics are accessible to more patients at cost-effective prices. Since their inception, they have developed the industry’s most rapidly advancing biosimilar medicines portfolio and have become leaders in this field. Due to their success, they are expanding their team with this newly created position.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Access:

• Conduct price analysis to guide tender offerings and forecast price evolution.
• Ensure timely application of list prices to optimize product launch timing.
• Update list prices promptly in response to reference pricing and mandatory adjustments.
• Assist countries with reimbursement applications.
• Communicate proactively regarding tender openings to facilitate timely action planning.

Forecasting:

• Evolve and maintain forecasting tools and update models with the latest data.
• Develop and assess forecasting scenarios for accuracy.
• Compare tender forecasts with population-based forecasts.
• Create analytical reports to track forecast deviations and drivers.
• Deliver accurate demand plans to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Provide target proposals based on demand and long-range tender outlook.
• Collect qualitative information from country managers to enhance forecast accuracy.

Tender Management:

• Shape tenders and optimize pricing by leveraging cross-country experiences for further expansion to drive future growth and profitability.
• Establish a library for each EU country, regularly updating it with relevant tender documentation.
• Create comprehensive files for each tender, including all necessary criteria, and conduct regular analyses.
• Develop a model to predict pricing trends based on market intelligence.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses to formulate robust pricing strategies.
• Support the renewal of 80% of current tenders and contracts due in 2025 for 2026 and beyond.

Qualifications:

• Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in multinational biopharma companies, ideally both in-country and above-country (including Europe).
• Background in pharmaceutical tenders analytical/commercial roles such as market research, forecasting, intelligence gathering, and commercial initiatives.
• Ideally, experience in the biosimilar field.
• Fluent in English.
• Minimum Bachelor's degree in marketing, commercial, pharmaceutical, or related field is a plus.
