PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Endpoint Management Specialist is responsible for managing and configuring Microsoft System Center Endpoint Management solutions to support the deployment and maintenance of endpoint devices. In addition to MECM, this role requires expertise in utilizing Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM) to enhance security and management of devices. The specialist will ensure seamless integration and functionality of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems across all endpoint devices, develop and implement endpoint management policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security, and monitor and troubleshoot issues related to endpoint management to provide timely resolution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage and configure Microsoft System Center Endpoint Management solutions.
  • Utilize Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM).
  • Ensure seamless integration and functionality of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Develop and implement endpoint management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot endpoint management issues.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure endpoint devices meet organizational standards.
  • Maintain the established standard operating environment (SOE) for desktops and remote devices.
  • Update Windows operating systems to the latest builds.
  • Identify, mitigate risk, and remove vulnerabilities from desktops and remote devices using provided tools.
  • Deploy patches and software updates on desktops, remote devices, and servers.
  • Deploy non-SOE software such as MS Visio, MS Project, Adobe Acrobat, etc., to desktops and remote devices.
  • Manage service requests within the ticketing system.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems related to software deployments.
  • Create reports using SQL reporting.
  • Modify/build software packages/updates for applications.
  • Run PowerShell scripts to resolve issues with MECM/SCCM clients and WMI repository.
  • Create, test, and troubleshoot GPOs as needed.
  • Create packages and deploy driver and BIOS updates.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM, MECM) and Intune.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Proficiency in endpoint management and security best practices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting SCCM infrastructure in enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in SCCM architecture, including task sequences, site hierarchy design, role configuration, boundary groups, and content distribution.
  • Proficiency in creating SQL and WQL queries.
  • Familiarity with SCCM features such as using the App Model, CI Baselines, Task Sequences, OSD, creating virtual apps and creating collections with special script deployments that automatically resolve perpetual issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of SCCM features and functionalities, such as software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment, and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking concepts.
  • Advanced knowledge in scripting languages, such as PowerShell, for automation and customization of SCCM workflows.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex SCCM issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
