About this role

The Senior Market Access Manager is responsible for shaping and executing Biogen’s value and access strategy in Gulf. This role ensures optimal and sustainable patient access to Biogen’s portfolio through proactive engagement with key stakeholders, development of robust access strategies, and strong internal cross functional alignment.

The position encompasses early access programs (EAPs/Charged Managed Access Programs), HTA engagement, pricing and reimbursement, formulary access, and value communication.

 

What You'll Do

Market Access Strategy & Execution 

  • Develop and implement market access strategies to secure and maintain optimal patient access across Biogen’s portfolio in Gulf.

  • Monitor evolving healthcare policies, payer priorities, and competitor dynamics to anticipate risks and opportunities.

  • Lead pricing and reimbursement submissions in collaboration with the Pricing & Tender Lead, Regulatory Affairs, Medical, and Commercial teams.

  • Design and execute pricing tactics, tender approaches, and contracting models tailored to specific customer segments.

  • Track and report market access performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

 

Stakeholder Engagement 

  • Build deep customer understanding and drive engagement with key stakeholders across governmental and private channels.

  • Engage proactively with payers, health authorities, HTA bodies, and institutional decision-makers to communicate product value and support access objectives.

  • Map, develop, and execute strategic stakeholder engagement plans aligned with budgets and business priorities.

Value & Evidence Communication 

  • Lead the development and localization of healtheconomic models, value dossiers, and communication tools to support payer negotiations and product positioning.

  • Ensure consistent and compelling articulation of Biogen’s value propositions across all access interactions.

 

Cross-functional Collaboration 

  • Drive strong internal collaboration across regulatory, medical, commercial, and finance teams to ensure aligned execution of access initiatives.

  • Provide market insights to inform brand planning, forecasting, and strategic portfolio decisions.

 

Who You Are

You bring strong expertise in the Gulf market access landscape and maintain solid relationships with key governmental and private sector stakeholders. You combine strategic thinking with strong stakeholder engagement skills and are able to clearly articulate product value to payers and decision makers. You are collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working cross-functionally to drive access strategies in a complex and evolving healthcare environment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in the Gulf pharmaceutical industry, with at least 4 years in Market Access or Key Account Management.

  • Strong existing network of key stakeholders across governmental and private institutions in GCC.

  • Deep knowledge of the Gulf healthcare policy, reimbursement systems, HTA processes, and access pathways. 

  • Minimum 50% of time spent in the field engaging external stakeholders.
