A Day in the Life

This position will be based in our Copenhagen office and will be a part of the Global Sustainability team as the product steward to support Medtronic in the Nordic countries to fulfill and impact the mandatory sustainable criteria in tender submissions. Depending on your studies and exams, we expect you to work around 15 hours per week, with the possibility to work more during the company’s peak times and main vacation times.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

You will work with various stakeholders in close collaboration with our Nordic Pricing, Contracting & Tender Management team, the Employee Health & Safety team, the Regulatory team and Engineering and Packaging teams.

  • Communicate trends in Tender Submissions to Enterprise Product Stewardship to influence product and packaging design and change management in Business Units and Functions as required.
  • Impacting the Product Stewardship and Sustainability agenda internally as well as externally to keep Medtronic competitive
  • Work on opportunities in the pre-tender phase to avoid non-bid situations further downstream
  • Supplying answers for Tender Submissions; Formulating and updating working documents to be used with tender submissions
  • Support submissions by building and maintaining a database for all tender requirements and necessary regulatory documents
  • Resolution of internal and external customer inquiries
  • Support the Nordic countries EHS & Regulatory by responding to societal trends and customer concerns relating to product transparency.

 

Required knowledge:

  • Studying in the last year of the Bachelor studies or in the first year of Master’s, preferably in the fields of Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Environment and Sustainability or similar.
  • Knowledge in EU Directives and Regulations such as RoHS, REACH, POPs, MDR, etc., and in EHS management systems (i.e. ISO14001, ISO13485, ISO45001 and ISO50001) is preferred.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong people and communications skills.
  • Highly motivated, eager to learn and with a positive can-do mentality.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and are extremely organised and curious.

Would be a plus:

  • Fluent in Danish, or any of the other Scandinavian languages with both written and verbal knowledge.
  • Any experience in the healthcare/ medical devices sector would be appreciated.
