We are seeking a talented individual (Data & AI Specialist) to join our Implementation Services Team at Mercer. This role will be based in Noida. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to deliver data-driven AI-enabled solutions across client engagements and support on strategic transformation initiatives while continuing to build your capability through real project experience. One day you might be preparing and analyzing large transactional datasets from multiple source systems; the next, automating data preparation workflows using SQL and Python or developing dashboards that help stakeholders understand operational, financial or risk trends.
You’ll be trusted to contribute to real client work from the outset while being supported through coaching, collaboration and structured learning.

We will count on you for:

  • Leading analytical workstreams across client engagements from requirements gathering through to delivery and stakeholder presentation
  • Collaborating with clients, business stakeholders and technical specialists to translate business challenges into scalable data, analytics and AI-enabled solutions
  • Designing and developing data pipelines, transformation processes and analytical models using SQL, Python and cloud-based technologies
  • Applying modern AI techniques, including GenAI, machine learning and AI-assisted development tools, to improve solution effectiveness and delivery efficiency
  • Performing complex data quality assessments, reconciliations, anomaly detection and root-cause investigations to support reliable and defensible outcomes
  • Developing impactful dashboards, visualisations and decision-support tools using Power BI and Tableau that enable clients to make informed decisions
  • Contributing to solution architecture, technical design decisions and delivery approaches across analytics and AI initiatives
  • Exposure to modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks and experience developing production-grade data-driven applications and AI-enabled solutions would be an advantage
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members through technical guidance, quality reviews and day-to-day collaboration
  • Identifying opportunities to automate, standardise and improve delivery processes through reusable assets, accelerators and AI-enabled approaches
  • Building trusted relationships with stakeholders and communicating technical concepts, insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. You’ll be supported through structured learning, feedback and collaboration.

What you need to have:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, data engineering, AI or related technology disciplines
  • Advanced Python and SQL skills, including data engineering, automation and analytical solution development
  • Agile, Scrum, Jira, Confluence, SSIS, SSRS, Visual Basic
  • Strong experience designing and building data pipelines, transformation frameworks and scalable analytics solutions
  • Practical experience leveraging GenAI, machine learning or AI-assisted development tools to improve business outcomes and delivery efficiency
  • Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and develop pragmatic solutions
  • Experience leading small workstreams and coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to business audience
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and support junior team members
  • A growth mindset, curiosity for emerging technologies and a passion for continuous learning

Our Data & Analytics Team is a specialized data operations unit focused on migration, ETL solutions, and implementation support for the wealth business. Our team operates within retirement domain (DB and DC), delivering data engineering and process automation solutions that enable seamless business operations.
Core Functions:

  • Data Migration & ETL: Design and execute complex data migration projects and build robust ETL pipelines to support business requirements
  • Implementation Support: Deploy and manage implementations through our Implementation Analysts who bridge data engineering and business operations
