Visiting Professor Position in Physics

​The Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP) at NTU invites applications for positions at the rank of Visiting Professor in Physics. We are looking for candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in physics or a closely related area.

The Visiting Professor will collaborate with PAP colleagues to work in the area of theoretical quantum many body physics. He/she will develop theoretical and computational approaches to study quantum spin liquids, novel quantum phases and transitions in low-dimensional quantum magnets and fractional quantum Hall effect. He/she will get involved with collaborative research at the programmatic level (NRF-CRP) with PAP colleagues (both theorists and experimentalists), as well as explore collaborations with colleagues from other Schools within NTU.

The candidate should have at least 15 years of experience in frontier research in quantum many body systems, plus proficiency in developing computational methods to study them. He/she should be also able to collaborate effectively with ecxperimentalists  working in related fields. He/she should have demonstrated ability to obtain external grants, plus regularly publish in top-tier journals such as the Nature and Science family of journals.
