As the SVP of Strategy, you will have day-to-day responsibility for managing the group’s strategy process. This is a critical role that reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer.  You will help Arch’s leadership team translate the company's vision into a cohesive, actionable strategy, and manage its execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Strategy Development Process: Lead the annual and multi-year strategy development cycle, working with leadership to define strategic goals, priorities and key capabilities.  Advance the strategy framework using new best practices.  Ensure enterprise strategy adapts to internal and external market changes.
• Responsible for the Strategy Review Process: Ensure enterprise strategy execution process is on track.  Provide insights to executive management on health of the group’s strategy execution, including areas for improvement.
• Develop External Market-Sensing and Scanning Capabilities: Coordinate analysis of global trends, changes in external environment, and market landscape to inform strategic decisions.
• Oversee Special Projects: Run select cross-functional special projects and initiatives, ensuring plans are on track and delivering results.
• Act as an Internal Consultant: Advise business and functional leaders across our global operations throughout the strategy process from development to execution.  Offer strategic guidance to help them solve challenges and capitalize on new opportunities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years’ professional work experience, including at least 5 years’ experience in strategy or strategy consulting for the global insurance industry.  Experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm is preferred.
• Education: An MBA from a top-tier business school is preferred.

• Skills: Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills. Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and navigate the complexities of a global (re)insurance company with a federated operating model.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$250,000 - $300,000/year

• Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
