The Company is opening an Embedded Functional Safety Software Test engineer position in its Research and Development center.
As an embedded functional safety software test engineer, you will be responsible of the verification and validation of high-performance control application such as On-Board Chargers, DC-DC Converters, e-Motors (PMSM, WRSM, ASM) and traction Inverters for hybrid and electric vehicles (HEV/EV). You will be in charge of the specification, development, automatization and execution of unitary, integration, functional and qualification tests of the functional safety part of these applications.
Main responsibilities of the position of Embedded Functional Safety Software Test Engineer include to:
Specify Unitary, Integration, Functional and Qualification tests following the defined functional safety requirements, architecture, and design elements.
Verify and validate powertrain control application using RTL simulation, and tests tools like VectorCast C++ and Lauterbach.
Functional safety validation on boards.
Develop, automate, and debug new tests (unitary, integration, functional and qualification tests).
Maintain and adapt existing tests (Non-Regression Tests).
Ensure tests coverage metrics (Static and dynamic analysis: Dead Code, MCDC, Condition, Decision, MISRA Rules, Overflow, Cyclomatic complexity, …).
Define test plan and test reports.
Work closely and collaborate with system and safety software engineers to test requirements, architecture, and design elements.
Apply AGILE and A-SPICE development flow.
Ensure the quality management by understanding ISO26262 guidelines, ISO 9001 standard and following the System and Software Engineering process.
The position requires pro-active involvement with all departments of the Company.

Education:
Bachelor's or master's degree in software engineering, or a related field.
Technical skills & experience:
Minimum of 4 years in functional safety testing.
Experience in test specification and automated development.
Good knowledge in embedded software development in C language on 32 bits RISC CPU environment.
Knowledge of the environment and constraints of the automotive domain is a real advantage.
Good knowledge of System-On-Chip and hardware peripherals.
Good knowledge in Real Time system constraints.
Good analysis of solving technical issues.
Good knowledge of scripting (Python).
Experience in debugging tools (JTAG box, Debugger, etc.).
Analytical skills for debugging software.
Good experience in Road vehicles – Functional safety ISO 26262 standards and quality standards like ISO 9001.
Good knowledge of AGILE and A-SPICE development flows.
